Time

Time is the most intriguing of all the four dimensions. It is the creator of emotions and the nemesis of all evil. Time possesses the power of the universe without you ever recognizing it.

But you'll must realize one thing. Even though it can never be felt, Time is the one which provides us with the power of perception. Without time, there would be no experiences, memories or even us.

Yet, Time has always been at the receiving end of a lot of criticism. It has often been cursed and condemned for being in the distant horizon, always out of reach.

But, if you think profoundly about Time, it will unravel its greatest deception to you.

There is no hero

To hell with you Lance Armstrong!

       All of us fall prey to the power of repeated lies. If a lie is repeated a thousand, we merrily accept it as a reality. It is probably hard wired into us as a species. But this time, it was no ordinary lie. It was a pile of lies, which was so incredible that we refused to question it. Psychologists call it the confirmation bias, a tendency of people to favor information which supports their preconceived notions or hypothesis. I call it a comfortable lie.

        His story was perhaps the most brilliant, well-conceived, well-planned lie. But, behind his inspiring story was a cruel and blind(I refuse to call it myopic) focus on being famous and making money, more and more of it. What hit me the most was the blatant manner of the confession without any shred of remorse. Even his confession seemed to be just another attempt to get back on his feet and an attempt to climb out from the well.

       What discomforts me the most is not how he made money and earned fame on a heap of lies. Rather, it is the mud splashed on the face of countless people who looked for solace in the shadow of his story. In an instant, he took away from all of us the meaning of true hard work and the power of hope.
